Style #5, Gold on Blue Riveted, "THE FIRST STATE": 1962-1968

In mid-1962 (Roy Carson says August, the State says July) the gold/blue riveted base was revised: The tab slots were discontinued, 'DELAWARE' was moved to the bottom, and the slogan 'THE FIRST STATE' was added to the top. Plates by this time were entirely aluminum, and hybrids had (temporarily) vanished. Thus, there are no significant variations of this base, other than the number of digits that can appear on the plate (due to re-issued older numbers), as before. Again, all older bases continued in use.
